Basic Assessments

I participated in various personality and skill assessments to inform employers about the type of person and associate I am. Below are the assessments.

The Myers-Briggs personality assessment is a renown self-type indicator that assesses one's psychological views of the world. I was placed as an ISFJ. This means I am an introverted, sensing, feeling and judging type of person.

SIGI stands for system integrated guidance and information. This assessment integrates self-assessment with career information to show people what their personality matches up with in terms of career path. They culminate one's values, interests, personality and skills. I think my skills are critical to the field of accounting as they are the skills used in everyday life as an accountant.

The StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment analyzes one's strengths through a various amount of questions. These strengths guide one's decisions regarding career path and how to use them. My top five strengths are discipline, consistency, empathy, achiever and developer.

1. Discipline - People exceptionally talented in the Discipline theme enjoy routine and structure. Their world is best described by the order they create.

2. Consistency - People exceptionally talented in the Consistency theme are keenly aware of the need to treat people the same. They crave stable routines and clear rules and procedures that everyone can follow.

3. Empathy - People exceptionally talented in the Empathy theme can sense other people’s feelings by imagining themselves in others’ lives or situations.

4. Achiever - People exceptionally talented in the Achiever theme work hard and possess a great deal of stamina. They take immense satisfaction in being busy and productive.

5. Developer - People exceptionally talented in the Developer theme recognize and cultivate the potential in others. They spot the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from evidence of progress.

The skills assessment I participated in was the skills matcher assessment through careeronestop.org. The assessment involves various questions about technical and soft skills with the intent of showing how one's skills could apply to the workplace.
